CREATOR AGREEMENT

Creator Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 June 2026 · localcreators.live

These Terms govern your relationship with localcreators.live ("the platform," "we," "us") as a creator — someone who streams or uploads content and may receive payments. By creating a creator account, going live, or accepting payouts, you agree to everything below. If you don't agree, don't stream or accept payouts. These Terms are in addition to our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
This is a plain-language agreement written for a small, early-stage platform. It is a starting point and not legal advice — have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it.

1 Eligibility & verification

To be a creator, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) and able to form a binding contract;
  • To receive payouts, complete payout onboarding with our payments partner, Stripe, which verifies your identity, age, and banking details ("Know Your Customer"). We may also request additional proof of age or identity at any time;
  • Provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date;
  • Not have been previously removed from the platform for a serious violation.

We may refuse, suspend, or revoke creator status at our discretion, including if verification cannot be completed or appears fraudulent. You may not let anyone else use your creator account or appear in your streams unless they are also an adult (18+) creator who has agreed to these Terms.

2 Your relationship with us

You are an independent creator, not an employee, partner, agent, or joint venturer of the platform. Nothing here creates an employment or agency relationship. You decide whether, when, and what to stream within these Terms, you provide your own equipment and internet, and you are responsible for your own conduct, content, taxes, and expenses.

We provide the platform, hosting, discovery, and payment processing. We do not guarantee any level of viewership, income, or that any particular feature will remain available.

3 Content standards — this is an SFW platform

localcreators.live is a safe-for-work platform. All content must be appropriate for a general audience. As a simple test: if it wouldn't air on daytime television, it doesn't belong here.

You must not stream, upload, or display:

  • Nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive content, or sexual solicitation;
  • Content that sexualizes any person, or any content involving minors in any way;
  • Violence, gore, self-harm, or content promoting them;
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats, or discrimination based on protected characteristics;
  • Illegal activity, sale of regulated or illegal goods, or facilitation of either;
  • Content you don't have the rights to (copyrighted music, video, or other material);
  • Misrepresentation of who you are, including pretending to be another person, or presenting another person's images or recordings as a live stream of yourself;
  • Off-platform solicitation that moves users to sexual or unmoderated venues.
Because we accept payments, content that violates these standards also puts our payment processing at risk for everyone. Serious or repeated violations end your account and may forfeit pending payouts associated with the violating activity.

4 Your content & the licence you grant us

You keep ownership of the content you create. To operate the platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, encode, transmit, display, and promote your content on and in connection with the platform (including thumbnails, clips, and previews used to promote your streams) for as long as you keep it on the platform and for a reasonable period afterward to complete caching, backups, and recordkeeping.

You represent that you own or have all rights to your content, that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights, and that everyone appearing in it has consented and is an adult (18+).

5 Conduct & community

  • Treat viewers and other creators with respect; moderate your own room reasonably and use the safety tools provided;
  • Don't encourage anyone to share personal contact details, exact location, or other sensitive information;
  • Don't engage in or solicit fraudulent tips, fake engagement, or payment scams;
  • Don't attempt to circumvent fees, route payments off-platform to avoid our cut, or induce viewers to pay you outside the platform for platform activity;
  • Cooperate with reasonable moderation, safety, and verification requests.

6 Payments, tips & fees

Viewers may support you through tips and through a share of memberships. The current economics are:

  • Tips: the platform retains a fee of 20% of each tip (or 10% if you are subscribed to Creator Pro). You receive the remainder.
  • Memberships: a pool equal to 80% of qualifying membership revenue is distributed to creators based on member activity, as described on our membership page. The platform retains the remainder to operate the service.
  • Payment processing fees charged by Stripe may apply to transactions and, where applicable, are accounted for as part of the economics above.

Amounts are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. We may change fees, splits, and payout terms prospectively by updating these Terms and the membership page; changes don't apply retroactively to amounts already earned.

Tips and membership payments are generally final and non-refundable, except where required by law or where we determine a payment was fraudulent, mistaken, or violated these Terms — in which case we may reverse, withhold, or claw back the associated amounts.

7 Payouts & Stripe Connect

Payouts are handled by Stripe. To receive money you must onboard to Stripe Connect and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which governs your payout account in addition to these Terms. Stripe verifies your identity and bank details and sends your payouts.

  • You're responsible for providing accurate payout and tax details and keeping them current;
  • Payout timing follows Stripe's schedule and any holds Stripe or we reasonably apply (for example, during a fraud or chargeback review);
  • We may withhold or offset payouts to cover refunds, chargebacks, reversals, or amounts you owe us;
  • If your Stripe account is restricted or closed, we may be unable to pay you until it is resolved.
Because Stripe handles identity, banking, and tax forms, we don't store your full bank or government-ID details — Stripe does, under its own terms and privacy policy.

8 Taxes

You are solely responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes on money you earn. Depending on where you live and how much you earn, Stripe and/or we may be required to collect tax information from you and issue tax forms (such as a US Form 1099-K). You agree to provide any tax information reasonably requested. We don't provide tax advice — consult a tax professional.

9 Privacy & safety

Our handling of your personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. As a creator you appear publicly, so be thoughtful about what you reveal on stream. We provide safety features (such as approximate-location display rather than exact location, word filters, and moderation tools); you're responsible for using them and for protecting your own privacy. If you ever feel unsafe, contact us immediately and use the available blocking and reporting tools.

10 Intellectual property

The platform's name, logo, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or used without permission. We respect intellectual property and respond to valid infringement notices; don't use content (including music) you don't have rights to. Repeat infringers lose creator status.

11 Suspension & termination

You may stop streaming and close your creator account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your creator status, remove content, or withhold associated payouts if you breach these Terms, create legal or payment-processing risk, or engage in fraud or abuse. For serious violations — especially anything involving minors, non-consensual content, or fraud — we may act immediately and report to the appropriate authorities. On termination, the licence in Section 4 winds down except as needed for backups, legal compliance, and completing pending transactions.

12 Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, specific earnings, or audience. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or earnings, and our total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the greater of the fees we retained from your activity in the three months before the claim, or US $100.

13 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the platform and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your conduct, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you (such as a notice on the platform or by email). Changes apply going forward from the date posted; continuing to stream or accept payouts after that means you accept the updated Terms.

15 General & contact

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. These Terms, together with the documents they reference, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding your creator activity. Questions about these Terms:
